History of Walter community in Cullman County
The Cullman County Historical Society will meet Sunday, July 26, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of St. John's Evangelical Protestant Church -- across the street from the Ruehl Building. Enter through the door on the lower level, under the main sanctuary.

Richters in Cullman, Alabama
Greg Richter showed this video to the Cullman County Historical Society in a presentation of his family. Greg and his wife, Laura, portray Greg's great-grandparents, Karl Julius and Ursula Louise Fallenbacher Richter, during the 2008 Living History Cemetery Tour.

Amelia Dinkleberg's Cullman story
Amelia Dinkleberg (Paula Kretzschmar) tells her story as one of the first five families to settle Cullman, Alabama in the early 1870s. This presentation was part of a living history cemetery tour for a group of German visitors from Cullman's sister city, Frankweiler.

Appreciation for government officials
Sunday, April 26, the regular meeting of the Cullman County Historical Society will be Appreciation Day for local government officials and members who have made extraordinary contributions to the Historical Society. Please attend and encourage others to attend so we can show the government officials, especially, how much we appreciate their help.
